Your privacy: how we use your personal data
Certu Systems ("we", "us"), as data controller, provides logistics software through a web dashboard and a mobile application that drivers use to carry out deliveries. To provide this service we need to process certain personal data about you. Please read this notice and tell us what you agree to. You can change or withdraw your choices at any time.
Personal data we process
- Identity data: your last name, middle name and birth name, National ID or Company Registration Number.
- Contact data: your phone number.
- Driver credential: your driver's licence number.
- Vehicle data: your licence plate number.
- Location data: real-time geolocation from your device's location services, collected only while you are logged in and on active duty.
Why we process it
- To create and manage your account and verify that you are licensed to drive.
- To assign delivery tasks, plan and optimise routes, and provide navigation.
- To track deliveries in progress and generate proof of delivery.
- To coordinate the fleet, communicate with you, and provide support.
- To ensure safety and security and to comply with our legal obligations.
Legal basis
Where we ask for it on this screen, we rely on your consent. Some processing that is strictly necessary to perform the delivery service you carry out, or to comply with a legal obligation, may instead rely on those legal bases; where that is the case, it is described in our full Privacy Policy. Giving or refusing the optional consents below will not prevent you from accessing functions that do not depend on them.
Who we share it with, and international transfers
We share your personal data with the clients whose deliveries you perform and with service providers acting on our behalf (for example hosting, mapping and navigation, and communications providers). Some of these recipients may be located outside your country. When we transfer your data abroad we apply appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, and we make a copy available on request.
How long we keep it
We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes above and for one (1) year unless specified otherwise in your contract, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data; to have it corrected or erased; to restrict or object to its processing; to receive it in a portable format; and not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing that produces legal or similarly significant effects. You can withdraw any consent at any time — this is as easy as giving it and does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. Your choices
☐ I consent to the processing of my identity, contact, driver's licence and vehicle data for the account, delivery and compliance purposes described above.
☐ I consent to the collection and processing of my real-time location data while I am logged in and on active duty, for route planning, delivery tracking and proof of delivery.
☐ I consent to the transfer of my personal data to recipients located outside my country, as described above and subject to appropriate safeguards.
